Dave McClure looks like Virgin America flight out of SFO early am March 3, come back afternoon March 6. (Natalie or Abheek will be adding exact info)
-
Natalie F Here are the flight/hotel details for anyone who wants to join:
We're planning to fly Virgin America from SFO to IAD on March 3 (Flight # 78 departing at 7:25am). The return flight most people will be on is IAD-SFO on March (Flight # 71 departing at 4:30pm).
We'll be staying at the Club Quarters hotel at 839 17th Street NW and we have negotiated a special group rate of $174/night + tax for a standard room. To take advantage of that rate, you'll need to book a room with the hotel via phone (212-575-0006) or email (memberservices-at-clubquarters-dot-com) by February 19th. Unfortunately, you can't get the group rate if you try to make your reservation via the hotel's Web site -- it's phone or email only. Tell them you are with Startup Visa and that your group code is STA303. Thanks! -
Natalie F oops...that return flight is March 6th.
-
Abheek Anand And for folks who might want to head back on Friday night (March 5th), there's Virgin American Flight 77. Departs IAD 8:45PM, Arrives SFO 11:55PM

Edith Yeung Hey guys - I just got interviewed by San Jose Business Journal. The reporter (Eli Segall) is looking for 2 other people to interview. One is Dave and the other should live in San Jose / South Bay / Peninsula area. Please call him 408-299-1829 if you are interested in getting interviewed by the journal.
-
Edith Yeung To clarify - he is looking for immigrant entrepreneur who lives in south bay area. Eli Segall 408-299-1829
-
Tanya Noel For the GOAP/StartupVisa ppl still in DC, here's an idea for brunch on Saturday:
Every Saturday there is a breakfast & brunch tradition at Eastern Market, a cool old brick building with alot of history, that is a large market and cafe, with much charm. Apparently, quite a few local congress & neighborhood ppl, eat there on Saturday's. From the Q Hotel, take the Metro to the Eastern Market stop, and walk up 7th street, towards East Capitol Street, and you will see Eastern Market. It's quite large, so easy to spot. Cheers. -
Edith Yeung Hey everyone. I am hosting a Startup Visa Meeting this Thursday evening (7:00 - 7:30 p.m.) at Citizen Space San Francisco and looking for three speakers to update the SF Immigrant Entrepreneur community about what happen in DC last week. If you are available, ping me - edith@biztechday.com. Cheers!
