Event Info:
Who
Techonomy is where innovation meets practicality. Like Techonomy 2009, this year's event should be attended by entrepreneurs, investors, developers or anyone who is in the process of leveraging a business through the internet.
What
6 new companies will present their new products for the first time on stage in front of the Techonomy crowd and an expert panel of judges. Live updates will be taken by twitter from the audience and those watching on-line. The panel will provide feedback to the presenters to help them deliver on their product.
Why
It's pretty incredible that a year has passed from the initial Techonomy event. Last year the emphasis was all around Web 2.0 and cloud computing was a nascent paradigm. Who talks about Web 2.0 today? If anything else, this demonstrates the pace of change that occurs today.
This year's Techonomy 2010 event will address the upcoming business models and investigate how the internet startups of today will turn into real companies that will drive an economy - a new economy that is changing how people do business.
