Join the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado for its inaugural “Race for Wishes” 5K and Family Fun Run on Saturday, May 8, 2010. The race will be held in Denver’s City Park (17th Ave. and Colorado Blvd.) and begins at 9 a.m. MT.
The 5K is a chip-timed official USATF certified course and can be used as a qualifier for the Bolder Boulder and other race events. The route for the Family Fun Run/Walk is a loop around City Park’s Ferril Lake. Race for Wishes offers great prizes, food and lots of fun for the whole family. Race finishers will be greeted by a child who has had or is waiting to have a wish granted.
Registration, including a technical t-shirt, is $30 for adults and $25 for seniors/youths 13-18. Kids 12 and under are $10 (no shirt provided). Families can register for $25 with $100 in pledges. All proceeds go toward granting wishes for Colorado children facing life-threatening illnesses.
