Wafting with the aromas of tasty treats and buzzing with the rollicking sounds of local musicians; abounding with book enthusiasts, families in search of weekend entertainment and fans of comic books; the free-to-the-public Los Angeles Times Festival of Books roars to life on April 24th & 25th on the UCLA campus.
Highlights this year include celebrity appearances and readings by Sarah Silverman, Alicia Silverstone, Buzz Aldrin, Jeff Garlin, Tricia Yearwood, Melissa Rivers, Wil Wheaton, Henry Winkler, Amber Tamblyn, Bernadette Peters, Carol Burnett, Jeffrey Ross and many more. Games such as the new Mobile Scavenger Hunt make this an interactive and engaging experience for everyone- and don't forget to check in on Foursquare at all panels you attend- you could be the MAYOR of the Festival!
General admission is free, but all indoor speaking events/panels require tickets, which will be available for a nominal fee from Ticketmaster.com from Sunday, April 18 at noon.
