Mothers Fighting For Others will be hosting it’s first Gala Event at the Hamilton Manor in New Jersey on May 22, 2010. Proceeds will go to creation of the first Inspire the Child orphanage in Kenya.
Mother's Fighting For Others (MFFO) is dedicated to the idea that nurturing and educating young girls is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty in third world countries. Founded in 2007 by Racquel Turner, MFFO began by taking simple steps to insure that a small handful of girls at St. Monica Children's Home in Kenya were given a chance to obtain a high school education. This year MFFO will support the educational needs of all 34 girls at the home. All of this has been accomplished using only the Internet to spread their message.
Now, Mothers Fighting For Others is ready to take the next step. MFFO will take over the complete care for these amazing young girls. This will include housing, meals, medical fees, counseling services, and staff management. But most importantly, MFFO will provide the nurturing environment required to insure that they complete their journey.
Each day they remain in school brings them one step closer to a better life. Each day filled with hope brings them one day closer to achieving their dreams.
