We finally have an official Freeze Project San Francisco page!
What is a Freeze Project?
A Freeze Project is gathering of people spread out in an open public area, freezing for 5 minutes, and then handing out flyers to people which gives them info on human trafficking and links they can go to. Our hope is that the Freeze Project will become a starting point of conversation that ultimately leads to networking and mobilization to end slavery in our lifetime.
Here's how it works:
-You meet 30 mins before the event to receive instruction and to receive a flyer to give out later.
-When given the cue, you will freeze in place for 5mins.
-After the 5mins you unfreeze and hand out your flyer to anyone who is interested.
That's it! There are video's posted on
www.thefreezeproject.com from previous Freeze events if your're interested.
Special Info:
- Our pre-meetup location will be the big statue in Union Square at 1130. You will be given instruction and a flyer to hand out later. At 1155 we will spead out, and 1200-1205 we will freeze. After flyers are handed out you're free!
- Send out event invites to your friends to make them aware of this opportunity. If there is a freeze project closer to them then SF, encourage them to go there.
- Everyone joining the global freeze project is encouraged to a buy a t-shirt from The Sold Project, Stop the Traffik, or One Voice to End Slavery to support the anti-slavery organizations who will be participating with us on Global Freeze day.
