SPEAKER
The Honorable Yasumasa Nagamine, Consul General of Japan
EVENT DETAILS
Join the World Affairs Council and its Young Professionals International Forum (IF) in celebrating this year’s cherry blossom season at our annual spring reception. Come spend an evening immersed in Japanese culture and foreign policy. We will be joined by The Honorable Yasumasa Nagamine, Consul General of Japan in San Francisco. Mr. Nagamine will discuss current US-Japan relations and the future of this historic alliance. The talk will be followed by a taiko (drum) performance by Maikaze Daiko. The evening will conclude with Japanese food and drinks for all attendees.
Our reception is a terrific opportunity to engage in lively conversation with others interested in international affairs, learn more about Japan and its customs, sample delicious Japanese cuisine, as well as acquaint yourself with the IF, the Council, and opportunities to become involved.
This event was developed by members of the World Affairs Council's Young Professionals International Forum (IF) -- a volunteer subcommittee of young professionals with a passion for international affairs. To learn about other IF events and ways to get involved, please join our Facebook Group or our Email Mailing List.
This event is co-sponsored by the Japan Society of Northern California.
