Wednesday April 21st, The Barn and KUCR present the highly anticipated return of FISHBONE with special guests The Debonaires.
Combining equal parts deep funk, high-energy punk, and frantic ska, the Los Angeles-based FISHBONE remains one of the most distinctive and eclectic bands of the last thirty years. With their hyperactive, self-conscious diversity, goofy sense of humor, and sharp social commentary, FISHBONE continues to gain legendary cult status among the youth of today and maintains their musical throne among a generation who danced and head banged their way through the 80’s and 90’s to their unmatched sound and addictive live performances.
Spawning out of the depths of the recent Reggae/Soul rebirth, The Debonaires are more than a local band; they are an eclectic musical movement of ENERGY and SOUL. After releasing three acclaimed albums and touring the United States and Canada numerous times, their revivalist approach to ska, rock steady and reggae has spawned a soulfully unique sound that has spread across the globe. The Debonaires have shared the stage with the likes of Reggae legends, Desmond Dekkar, The Skatelites, Phyllis Dillon and Laurel Aitken.
KUCR and the Barn are proud to present FISHBONE with special guests THE DEBONAIRES Wednesday April 21st. Doors open at 8PM, parking is five dollars and the event is free with all ages access.
