April 25th has been set aside in many States in the US and other countries as a day to recognize the plight of parents and children whose family relationships are being destroyed by Parental Alienation. In the simplest of explanations, Parental Alienation is the effort of one parent to erase the other parent from the lives of their children and is usually the result of a high conflict divorce. In short, destroying the relationship becomes a weapon of spite.
We are asking event participants to send one or more emails to community leaders, local charities, churches, or even local radio and television stations and ask them to plan some event that will help bring attention to alienation on April 25th, Parental Alienation Awareness Day.
If you are unsure or want to know more about Parental Alienation before you commit to participating, please take a look at the information in the Facebook group, Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive Parenting Resource Group. You can find it here:

Several people have asked me about the Event Type. Facebook does not provide an appropriate option so I selected Educational Workshop. It is simply a day to bring attention to Parental Alienation.
Invite others to the event and use it to help increase awareness about Parental Alienation. Locate an email address of at least one elected official in your government. Remind that official that Parental Alienation is destructive to children and families and ask them to plan some action on or leading up to April 25th that will help bring visibility to the plight of these children and targeted parents.

Why Awareness?
If more people knew about how Parental Alienation and Hostile Aggressive parenting works, and how manipulative parents can coerce their children to say things they don't mean, then more people can help deal with the problem.
The alienating parent won't be able to get away with their self-centered behavior if people around them realized what they are doing is wrong and abusive.
There are many professionals such as judges, lawyers, psychiatrists, teachers, police officers, as well the general public that have no idea this problem exists. The aim of the Awareness is to make everyone aware of these problems and encourage the alienating, hostile aggressive parents to seek help.
The more people know about it, the more the alienator will not be able to get away with their underhanded alienation tactics.
With awareness comes education, and with education, comes the power to stop the mental and emotional abuse of young manipulated children.
