this month:
THE WISCONSIN SHOW
For the inaugural show of our second season, we've gathered together four talented Twin Citians who share one thing in common: a Wisconsin heritage. Acclaimed chef Chris Olson (Paired), video artist Erin Hael, novelist Geoff Herbach, and writer Peter Hajinian join host Andy Sturdevant and Salon Saloon's brand-new house band, Color Me Badger (Katherine Condon and Jake Mohan), for an in-depth examination of the habits and customs of our neighbors to the east. Interviews! Performances! Slideshows! Lectures! Dance! And more!
This Month's Guests:
+Chris Olson guides us through the seedy, PBR-soaked underbelly of Milwaukee's food culture
+Erin Hael green-screens us into the studios of Super 18 WVTV for a youth dance workshop
+Geoff Herbach charts an epic tale of football and heartbreak in the rolling hills of the Western Upland
+Peter Hajinian leads us through the emo clubs and outdoor rock festivals of Tommy Thompson-era Wisconsin
As the famed tourist bumper stickers once read, before "to" was ironically scratched out by bored teenagers itching to flee the state: Escape to Wisconsin!
