Volunteer for Earth Day!
Spring is upon us and Earth Day blooms with the flowers! We'll be getting New York City's ever-greener heart pumping with excitement at both Grand Central Terminal and a special Times Square event! We need your help to make the 40th anniversary of Earth Day its biggest NYC triumph!
We are seeking volunteers for the following shifts:
Earth Day at the Crossroads of the World – A musical, festive environmental celebration and teach-in!
EarthFair 2010 – Multiple shifts are available at both our outdoor event on Vanderbilt Avenue by Grand Central Terminal and the week-long Environmental Exhibition inside Grand Central’s majestic Vanderbilt Hall.
Thursday night load-in help needed at Vanderbilt Avenue.
Friday, April 23, Vanderbilt Avenue: 9:00 am-12:00 pm, 12:00 pm-4:00 pm, 4:00 pm-8:00 pm
Saturday, April 24, Vanderbilt Avenue: 10:00 am-2:00 pm, 2:00 pm-5:00 pm, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm
April 19-24, Vanderbilt Hall: 9:30 am-2:30 pm, 2:30 pm-7:30 pm
(This is especially needed! We have a "Cit-E of the Future" exhibition area and we need volunteers to share it with visitors all week long!)
To register as a volunteer, please email erikbaard@gmail.com with a contact phone number and your preferred volunteer shifts. We will confirm your shift placement via email. Shift placements are first come, first served, so reply as soon as possible. If you'd like to volunteer for multiple shifts, great!
Up to five friends can serve together during the same shift at our larger events (larger groups operate under institutional partnerships), so if you have a friend or colleague who plans to join you, please provide us with his or her full name, email, and cell phone number.
Again, our gratitude and please email erikbaard@gmail.com to get things rolling!
Thank you for keeping NYC green!
