This benefit is a collaboration of local artists that have come together for the love of life and for a good cause. All proceeds are being donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
We are raising money for Team OptiMiStic. MS Walk Team OptiMiStic is a group of dynamic ladies with MS, who will walk 50 MILES from Carlsbad to Downtown to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on Sept. 24-26, 2010. Join our MOVEMENT and help Team OptiMiStic erase MS!

Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. It is a chronic disease capable of causing a variety of different symptoms. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. In more extreme cases, multiple sclerosis can impair a person's mobility or cause disability.
* Over 400,000 people in the United State and as many as 2.5 million people worldwide have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
* Multiple sclerosis affects almost twice as many women as men.
* MS hits most often in people between the ages of 20 and 50 years.
