Come join us from 6-8pm on Thursday May 6th for the launch of the new website Live/Work Portland developed by the Creative Portland.
The site focuses on Portland's burgeoning creative economy by serving as a resource for creative entrepreneurs considering relocating to Portland as well as providing a social networking space for the city's existing creative community. This is the centerpiece of a broad economic development campaign to promote Portland as a creative epicenter.
At the heart of the website are multimedia interviews with nationally recognized individuals who have chosen Portland to live and work. Six of these interviews will be debuted as the Live/Work Portland launch event. We believe that these personal stories will capture the spirit of creativity and innovation that is so present here, and show creative entrepreneurs from “away” that it is very possible to be creative, be successful, and be happy in Portland, Maine.
