:: Geekfest :: is a non-profit event for online people to meet offline and network. Geekfest started in Dubai last October and has now been hosted in few different countries in the region and beyond (so far, 4 times in Dubai, once in Beirut, and now in Amman). The event takes place every two months and features some of the great speakers who discuss their innovative ideas through GeekTalks sessions.
Because it gathers people of similar interests and on the same wavelength, GeekFest is an ideal platform for new opportunities and partnerships to be created.
GeekTalks (the speakers sessions):
- Creative Common - Eman Jaradat, from Creative Common
- Digital Story Telling - Lina Ejelat, 7iber.com
- Anime and Mythology - Abdallah Ibrahim
- Open Source - Anas Hamdan, from the Jordanian Open Source Association
