Geographer
In the summer of 2005, after a series of deaths in the family, Michael Deni left his hometown in New Jersey for San Francisco. He spent the next several months with his guitar and a synthesizer he found on the street, turning the tragedy that drove him from home into songs rich with emotion and lush melodies. After the additions of cellist Nathan Blaz (previously in St. Vincent, on Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label) and drummer Brian Ostreicher, Geographer spent the next year playing clubs around the Bay Area, crafting their songs into the driving, heart-pounding epics that make up Innocent Ghosts. Deni's angelic vocals soar above thumping dance tunes with highs and lows that are simple and beautiful in their delivery. After a packed album release party at San Francisco’s landmark Cafe du Nord that included members of Bright Eyes, and the privilege of being voted one of three “Undiscovered Bands You Need To Hear Now” by SPIN magazine, Geographer is poised on the brink of becoming one of the most exciting newcomers in Indie music.

Silver Swans
Silver Swans take their name from the group of super-villains in the Wonder Woman comics. The evil Swans have the ability to create a powerful “swan song” of sound waves using their voices that is capable of devouring a small area of land with its destructive force. By creating a low-level humming, the Silver Swan can also form a protective shield around herself to deflect bullets and other projectiles. The musical counterpart Silver Swans, however, are far from the evil and destruction of their namesake. The electro dream-pop project captures the eerie dramatics of The Knife and the syrupy darkness of Ladytron to build a dynamic, exultant sound all their own.

The Northern Key
As The Northern Key, Andrew Galluccio unlocks a familiar world of folk music for the next generation of listeners. Galluccio’s gentle guitar and haunting harmonies melt pretension into pure expression; his tender voice thaws even the coolest cynic. This world is our companion, our comfort, the perfect complement to any reality. “The Northern Key” came alive at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco with Chris Chu (The Morning Benders) recording and mixing and local musician Jen Grady contributing vocals and cello. Such spontaneity allowed years of dreaming to crystallize into a well-crafted—but not overworked—work of art.
