"If any of of you are like me, you probably are really tired of Dallas's lack of culture. Aside from that nowhere other than Austin and more locally Denton are really doing anything exciting as far as music and art are concerned. Even if they are, they aren't really accessible to myself. SO I've decided I would begin the long journey toward getting an organization up an running that would do that. The specs are as follows: After establishing some sort of board, I anticipate the group researching and establishing a proposal for government funding.
Thats the hard part. After that (which will be no easy feat) I anticipate needing more investors and facets of revenue. A building from which to house the coalition is the 3rd step. Renovations ...ect, ect....
Ideally this building will house a home office, a fully functional venue, and recording studio, and be adjacent to a thrift store owned by the same organization. Classes will be offered to the public for music and art during the day, as well as other community projects. Later in the organizations life, providing its doing well, a green house will be built on top. The building was gonna be green. But I figured we could get "Green" corporations to fund an organization that also promoted recycling and environmental advancemnt, ect...
Forming a real board of members now. I've assigned things to some of you already. Yeah, I know its hard to take me seriously, but, I'm going to do this, AND it all has to start somewhere."
