EPHEMERISLE is a floating festival of freedom, creativity, and community.
Ephemerisle is your chance to turn your ideas about seasteading into reality for four days, as you live, play, experiment, and relax all on the water -- whether on boats, platforms, barges, or things we haven't seen yet.
We hope you’ll join us for our adventure this July 22-25 on the Sacramento River Delta. (For ACTUAL LOCATION see
http://ephemerisle.org/when-and-where.)
We heard you loud and clear: Ephemerisle 2009 was too short! This year, Ephemerisle is bigger and longer! You get four full days in the Delta to float, make, build, play, and interact -- and lots more community space to mess around.
WHAT IS EPHEMERISLE?
You're new, that's cool.
Head on over to
http://ephemerisle.org where you can watch a documentary of last year's event. Then surf around the site, explore and learn, leave a comment for us if you're feeling plucky.
GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE
RSVPing on Facebook doesn't count! You need a ticket -- and only 300 tickets will be sold!
Head over to
http://ephemerisle.org/tickets to get yours now.
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Volunteers get access to free or discounted tickets (depending on level of involvement), and can be part of one or more specialized teams working together to make it all happen.

QUOTES FROM EPHEMERISLE 2009 PARTICIPANTS:
"Ephemerisle was a transformative event. It transformed the concept of constructing a floating platform (or a collection of them) from a whiteboard design into a tangible working model that was both creative and functional. We're starting small, and not everything worked as planned, but so many things about the weekend succeeded that no one should have any doubt that TSI is serious about this proposal. I cannot wait for the next one! " -- Terry Floyd
"Amazing event. Lots of collective self-organizing happening in many different ways, such as addressing the various anchoring problems, which is anarchy in action. A good chance to introduce some of the art community to seasteading and anarcho-capitalism." -- Jeff Chan
"It was beautiful, sublime, chaotic, messy, and full of potential for future years." -- Matt Bell

We're not content to dream of a better world -- we will live it. Ephemerisle is the first step.
