My Dear Friends:
Ken and I have taken on a leadership role for CCFA's signature event, "Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis" at CCFA's 2010 Long Island Walk on Saturday, June 5th. The walk will take place at Marjorie Post Park, Massapequa, New York.
We need you to be on our team and walk the walk with us.
Please join us on June 5th for what should be a delightful and fun experience. Take steps-Long Island attracts more than 2500 local attendees including business and civic leaders, patients and their families, schools and the medical community as we raise awareness and funds in our region's fight against Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
I have been a victim of Crohn’s disease for 40 years. I have had multiple surgeries but have found that with the proper medical care and a disciplined diet I can overcome the difficulties that this disease creates. I always keep my hopes high and have never allowed this disease to stop me from enjoying my family, friends, career and leisure. Unfortunately there are many children and adults who have not been as lucky and the disease has devasted their lives.
If you are not able to participate in the walk, your contribution would be greatly appreciated.
You can go to
