Bristol based, RedLemon are a three piece acoustic band playing obscure pop songs in an emotive jazz/soul/blues style.
Formed three years ago around the core of vocalist/guitarist, York Gibson and double bassist, Dave Corry, RedLemon hit the Bristol acoustic music scene as a duo before quickly adding local harmonica player, Ben Hewlett as a permanent member. A year spent gigging the Bristol scene hard honed the band's sound, producing an atmospheric, emotionally driven feel, comanding hushed attention from audiences.
In mid 2009, Ben left to persue a career on cruise ships, leaving the rest of the band looking for something special to replace him. Drummer James Pajella was recruited in September 2009, allowing the band to expand into a more rhythmically driven feel, while still retaining the space and emotional invlovement which characterised the early gigs.
