Flipron play The Raglan as a warm-up gig before their appearance at Glastonbury Festival.
Flipron are a band from Glastonbury, UK, consisting of singer and songwriter Jesse Budd, pianist/organist Joe Atkinson, drummer Mike Chitty and bassist Mark Wingfield. They were signed to Tiny Dog Records in 2003
They have released three albums, Fancy Blues and Rustique Novelties in 2004 Biscuits for Cerberus in 2006 and Gravity Calling in 2008.
They have also released the singles, "Hanging Round The Lean-To With Grandad" (2006), "The End Of Summer/Raindrops Keep Falling On The Dead" (2006), "Dogboy Vs Monsters" (2007) and "Book Of Lies/Mess It Up" in 2008.
Their music has been likened to Tom Waits, Syd Barrett and The Kinks.
The band appeared at many UK festivals in 2007 and 2008 including the Leftfield and Avalon Stages at the Glastonbury Festival.
The current album, "Gravity Calling" was recorded at Chris Jagger's Somerset studio with former The Damned drummer, Rat Scabies producing.
In November 2008 they embarked on a co-headling UK tour with Birmingham's Misty's Big Adventure.
Spring 2009 saw them touring again to promote their single, the title track "Gravity Calling" from their current album.
A brand new single, "The Coolest Names In Showbiz", again produced by Rat Scabies was released this month.
