Won't you join us for a lovely tea party?
This year, to switch it up and to embrace adulthood as they turn another year older, the birthday girls thought they'd have a dry birthday party. No alcohol. Just good people and good, old fashioned, wholesome fun. We're planning a pretty nice little Saturday. We were thinking an early afternoon tea party with everyone in matching pastel colors, discussing marriage prospects and the economy and weather over scrumpets and scones with lite jellies and jams... play some charades... catch a movie later, maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond... I don't know... I don't know if we'll have enough time.
But then we thought, growing up is *really* overrated.
So, instead, please join birthday girls Laing and Sarah on Saturday, July 10th at George for a night of merrymaking in the form of drinking, dancing, lost phones and purses and all around poor (but completely worthwhile) life decisions, which shall be a tea party in name only and in no other sense whatsoever. ...except that we will be doing shots out of tea cups from children's tea sets. Seriously.
Yes, Laing will be returning from Georgia for this special night to celebrate her bday on the 10th, and we'll be ringing in Sarah's 26th bday at midnight.
All guests who RSVP will be added to the George list for the night and don't have to pay cover. Plus, we'll have the back bar roped off and available just for our guests... heaven forbid anyone wait in line for a drink when there is partying to be done. The back bar will give everyone drink specials of $6 SoCo & Blonde shots, $6 kamikazes, $4 miller lites, and $6 rail drinks all night.
Sorry for partying and our inability to grow up and act our ages, for those of you super disappointed an actual tea party involving good china and earl grey or protesting Obama and socialism won't be happening.
