Founded in 1996, the San Francisco 49ers Academy provides a caring and safe educational environment in the heart of East Palo Alto’s most “at-risk” neighborhood. Both during the school day and in afterschool programs, the Academy emphasizes one-on-one adult relationships, small class sizes, advanced technology, and social services to removes barriers to children’s success in school and in life. By serving middle school students during the years most crucial toward positioning them for high school success and graduation, the 49ers Academy has a meaningful impact on the youth of East Palo Alto.

About The Mayflower Foundation:
The Mayflower Foundation aims to raise money for, and provide assistance to, other non-profit entities engaged in improving the mental or physical development of disadvantaged children. The foundation hosts a series of fundraising and volunteer events in major metropolitan areas, and, through these events, connects young professionals with local non-profits and raises capital for tangible causes.
