We just concluded a two-month series on startup financing. We were very fortunate to have Harry from Matrix Partners and Stanley from China Renaissance talking about financing options for start-up tech companies in China. Now, we are going to shift topics a bit--to the products themselves.
There's a lot of talk about building innovative products. But what about intuitive products? What does it take to develop a product concept and build it with a user-centric interface that is not only easy to use, but also enjoyable to use. From the hardware designers who are building out the electronics and mechanics of a mobile design to the user interface designer who is building a web widget, the issues of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design are becoming more and more important. For our next Web Wednesday, we are fortunate to have two experts in the field of user experience design join us and talk about making products not only functional and accessible, but also intuitive and enjoyable.
Xu Shengyuan, the CEO of InnoBri, a mobile UX and UI design firm, will come over from Shanghai to talk with us. We will also have David Xu, who is UX designer for Innovation Works, will join us for the discussion as well.
About Xu Shengyuan
Xu Shengyuan is a user experience specialist with over 7 years of experience. Ms. Xu has worked on many projects for top companies such as China Mobile, ZTE, Samsung and others. Her focus has been upon incorporating global trends in the Chinese user experience for mobile devices, mobile services, web applications and home appliances. She is currently the founder of InnoBri, a leading UX consulting company in China. She is also a strategy partner for Solutions Space, a Finnish company.
Previously, Ms. Xu was the China Site manager for Idean Enterprises, a highly regarded European mobile UX design company.
About David Xu
David Xu is a user experience engineer and researcher at Innovation Works, an early stage venture fund founded by Kaifu Lee which is committed to mentoring and supporting the next generation of Chinese entrepreneurs. Prior to Innovation Works, Mr. Xu was the user experience researcher at the Research Institute of China Mobile Communications from 2008 to 2010, and a product manager and usability engineer at the Siemens China Institute of Interaction Design and Technology from 2004 to 2010.
Mr. Xu’s research focuses upon all aspects of evaluating user experience and designing innovative products which address users’ needs and seamlessly integrate into their lifestyles.

关于 徐先生
