Are you ready, Detroit?
After hosting the 140 Characters Conference in cities like New York City, Los Angeles, London and Tel Aviv, Jeff Pulver is bringing this one-of-a-kind experience to The Fillmore in downtown Detroit on October 20, 2010. The conference schedule is fast-paced and will include 10 minute individual stories from people across all industries, “featured talks” that last 15 minutes, and panel discussions set for 15 and 20 minutes.
The theme is “Exploring the State of Now,” so speakers and panelists will discuss how the social web has changed the way they do business and, in many cases, the way they live their lives. Detroit is fortunate to be hosting a conference of this caliber, and it’s up to every single one of us to make sure everyone who wants to participate is able to. This conference isn't just for Detroiters. We invite people from all around the world to speak and attend. It's the first conference to take place in the Midwest, so we encourage collaboration from Chicago, Indianapolis, Toledo, Cincinnati, Columbus, Kansas City, Minneapolis and other cities in and beyond our region.
Do you have a story to tell, or know of someone with an amazing story about the real time Web affecting the real world? Big or small, we want to hear it. The deadline for speaker submissions is AUGUST 6, so get to
http://ow.ly/2ffHU and fill out the form.
140conf Detroit is sponsored by Buick and Gardner-White. Tickets are $100 through Sept. 10 and $140 after. For more information, visit
