---------Here's how it works:
A shindig at Overlook (225 E 44th St) - a bar / lounge / roof deck in Midtown. It costs $5 at the door, and the $5 goes towards the organization you mention upon arriving (Sparkseed or Sandbox). Meanwhile, volunteer bartenders are collecting their tips, pooling them into a large donation. At the end of the night, the organizations are able to split up the tips as well.
