Doors to Sidney Harman Hall will open at 7:00am and we encourage everyone to arrive well before the 8:30am start time. You must check in with registration upon arrival and retrieve your name badge. We will have a coat check for you, and members of our concierge team will be available to guide you. Casual attire is absolutely appropriate and encouraged – it’s going to be a long day. Lunch will be served, and we will have multiple coffee and bathroom breaks.
Cell phones must be turned off when inside the auditorium. No cameras or laptops will be allowed, except in the last rows of the balcony, as not to disturb other attendees. If you are late to TEDxMidAtlantic, you will not be permitted inside the auditorium until there is a break between speakers.

.: Transportation
We encourage you to take Metro. MARC and Amtrak provide regular service from Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York, and offer a student rate.
Sidney Harman Hall is located in the bustling Penn Quarter neighborhood on F street, one block away from the Gallery Place Metro stop. The Hotel Monaco and Willard InterContinental are two of more than a half-dozen hotels in the neighborhood. There are more than 50 restaurants in Penn Quarter offering a variety of cuisines: French bistro, nouvelle cuisine, Spanish tapas, seafood, Italian, Indian, sushi and contemporary American.

Gallery Pl-Chinatown station on the Red, Yellow and Green Lines – Use the Arena/7th Street exit. Harman Hall is visible one block to your left.
Judiciary Square station on the Red Line – Take the F Street exit to the National Building Museum, turn left and walk 1 1/2 blocks along F Street to 6th Street.

Although we are encouraging everyone to use mass transit, we understand that many of you will need to drive. There are a number of parking garages available for TEDxMidAtlantic attendees within walking distance of Sidney Harman Hall. Visit

We are currently organizing a pre-party for the evening of Thursday, November 4, details of which will be announced soon.
.: Post Party - Nov 5th
Following TEDxMidAtlantic on November 5, we will hold a reception in Harman Hall. This will take place right outside the auditorium, so you won’t need to travel anywhere! Food and drinks will be provided. The reception will be your opportunity to connect with other attendees and speakers to discuss what you have learned throughout the day.
