  • Kristie Wells Much sadness, we just announced we are postponing the conference until (hopefully) the Spring of 2011. Thank you all for your support, but we will have to find alternate plans on November 10-12th now.

  • Kristie Wells Devon, I am @kristiewells. Not making either Tahoe or Ted I am afraid. trying to manage 32 events in the next 5 months *and* keep my clients happy at the same time. :)

  • Devon What's your twitter handle Kristie? Are you going to the Tahoe Conference or Ted Women? (thanks for your input Jeremy!)

  • Kristie Wells Devon, I imagine there will be folks live tweeting the event (Thursday at least). We see this at most conferences. Friday is mostly hands on smaller group discussions/workshops, so I would imagine (or should say 'hope') most everyone will be so focused on the conversation that they will not have time to tweet. ;)

  • Devon Will anyone be live tweeting?

  • Jeremy Hilton To reiterate what Kristie said, SXSW is very high level. In reality, SXSW is more about industry networking rather than hardcore learning. SMU will be a very focused content in an intimate setting conducive to learning.

  • Devon Thanks for the super speedy feedback Kristie.

  • Kristie Wells Hi Devon, I find most of SxSW sessions are high level as they are serving a general audience. At #smu2010 we plan to dig deep at a more advanced level, so think for that alone it is worth it. You will also be able to meet a lot of the Social Media Club community that won't be able to attend SxSW if that matters. (And disclosure: I am the conference organizer, so while biased, I think we are putting on a really good event)

  • Devon Is this worth making the trip down for Ry? I think I may just do SXSW?
