What do you get when you combine a bunch of tech geeks, alcohol and karaoke? You get the completely rad TechKaraoke!
TechKaraoke was created by both Michael Gruen (@gruen) and Brett Petersel (@brett) as a way to bring tech communities together, not discuss anything tech-related, and to rock out to some of the worst songs ever.
TechKaraoke Seattle is organized by Karianne Stinson (@karianne) and Veronica Wei Sopher (@Shih_Wei) and happens at karaoke bars around Seattle every 2nd Thursday of the month. (Except during Gnomedex andSeattle Geek Week!) You can follow us on Twitter:@TechKaraokeSEA.
The rules are simple:
1. Come ready to rock!
2. Meet some new folks
3. Have fun!
Banned Songs
The following songs have been voted to be banned by TechKaraoke Seattle members. If you do one of these songs, you must buy a round of drinks.
Love Shack
Sweet Caroline
Friends in Low Places
Summer Nights (unless it is the dirty version)
Anything by Creed
Mystery Song
At every TechKaraoke Seattle event, a mystery song will be selected. If you sing this song, you get a drink of your choice!
We’ll see you at Hula Hula on Friday, August 20th and sing on!
