Please arrive promptly at 6:30 PM as boarding and departure will begin shortly thereafter. Please note that the boat will leave promptly at 6:30PM WHERE: North Cove Marina – World Financial Center, Battery Park City. The Shearwater is the double-masted schooner on the south side of the marina in front of the volleyball court adjacent to the floating "classroom" of the sailing school. There is signage identifying the ship's home berth. By Subway:E to World Trade Center. Dunlap, a prominent New York industrialist and shipping magnate, the vintage 48-passenger Shearwater sailing yacht is a shining example of the style and elegance of the Great Gatsby-Era "Roaring '20s". Shearwater patrolled the North Atlantic for submarines during WWII, circumnavigated the globe in the late '70's and early '80's and once more graces NY waters after an absence of over 50 years.This stunning vessel, impeccably maintained and in pristine condition, offers the opportunity for you to enjoy pure luxury and elegance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SHEARWATER is much more than just 82 feet of Georgia Pine, her exterior features flawlessly maintained brightwork, magnificent large polished brass portholes and chrome trim.
