We're teaming up with Social Media Week, Entertainment Research Institute, Digital LA, and the Producer's Guild of America. We'll discuss transmedia storytelling available in major motion pictures, television, and Alternative Reality Games.

John David Heinsen
Producer's Guild of America Mobile New Media Council, Co-Chair
John's 18 year career in entertainment includes experience as Manager of Primetime Programming at the FOX Broadcasting Company, where he helped creatively oversee series such as "Family Guy", "Bernie Mac" and "That 70's Show". John also worked with brands such as Starbucks and Gap while in the New Media/Branded Entertainment and Television Packaging Divisions of International Creative Management (ICM).
Juan Devis
PBS, Director of New Media
Devis is currently the Director of New Media Production at KCET – PBS Los Angeles, in charge of all original online content and special projects, including; Webstories: Cultural Journalism in Southern California and the interactive documentary series, Departures. In the press, Juan Devis was presented as a major “influencer” in Los Angeles by the LA Weekly news publication, and his online series Departures was celebrated in the Sunday Arts section of the New York Times.
Nina Bargiel
Disney Television Writer, "Lizzie McGuire" & MTV's "Savage County"
Nina Bargiel is a television writer turned transmedia storyteller. Her professional writing career began back in 2000, writing 17 episodes of the Emmy-nominated Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire." She then moved to the animation universe, writing for Cartoon Network’s “The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy,” including the DVD feature “Billy & Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure.” She was tapped by Electric Farm Entertainment to create the Streamy-Award-winning interactive experience for EFE’s VALEMONT, a multi-platform transmedia production that began at ValemontU.com and spanned nine character Twitter accounts, three blogs, a Facebook page and SMS messaging. Currently, Nina is working on MTV’s Savage County.

Jay Bushman is a story hacker, Twitter dramatist, and creator of Alternative reality games for STAR WARS among others. Jay Bushman is a pioneer in the creation of social media as a tool for storytelling.
