After letting my Facebook presence languish to a certain degree for the past period of time, I've decided to take some steps to create a more holistic experience.
Because of Facebook's limitations in both privacy and in managing large numbers of friends, I've decided to shift my personal and professional focus. On 9/26, I'll delete all of the current friends that I have in this profile, and begin re-adding a smaller number of family, friends and colleagues who I know through my various communities.
If you'd like to continue to follow my professional work and experiences, I'll be regularly updating and engaging with my public page located at
http://facebook.com/faraichideya, as well as the Pop & Politics page at
http://facebook.com/popandpolitics as we relaunch some exciting projects this fall.
I apologize in advance if this causes anyone disappointment or concern; I simply can't be useful in the Facebook community the way things are currently set up. I'm grateful for all of the support my community has shown me over the years, and hope you'll continue this support through these new opportunities.
