SHOWDOWN IN CHINATOWN

On Saturday September 18th at 8pm the doors open for yet another SIC Short Film Challenge. Showcasing Hawaii's talented, up and coming film & entertainment industries.

This month we are hosting a special challenge for the musically inclined. In conjunction with the HIFF 2010 we are challenging our local Filmmakers to a Music Video Showdown!!!

The shtik is that they must use the tracks we picked by some of our favorite local Bands.

The Bands include;

Black Square
Kings Of Spade
Clones Of The Queen
The Dead Beats
Shopping List

The winner of this month's challenge will move on to be screened at The Hawaii International Film Festival's Music Video Showcase.

Following the short films, Showdown hosts Honolulu's only monthly entertainment industry mixer. Actors, Writers, Directors, Editors, Crew Members, and film/tv fans are encouraged to come out and network with other local filmmakers.

And Who Knows..... You may get to see one of these awesome bands live that night!!
