Come to the Startup at Berkeley Mixer on Thursday, September 30th at 7:00PM at Blake's on Telegraph to hear a talk from Justin Kan, the founder of Justin.tv, the largest online live video service.
Justin started the company with classmates from Yale (and a guy from MIT) in 2007. The original idea was to broadcast Justin's life 24/7 (just like edtv). On March 2007 they opened the site to let anyone broadcast. In the past 3 years they have grown to over 30 million monthly users watching and streaming thousands of different channels.
Listen to Justin talk about his experience starting the company and scaling to handle hundreds of millions of videos per month. Free food thanks to sponsor Alsop Louie Partners!!!
