Ladies tighten up the corset and tease your hair; gentleman apply your moustache and dust off your top hat; 19th Century Paris has returned to London for a night of mystique and self-indulgence.
Recreating Monmartre in Shoreditch, the event will enrapture the soul and trick the mind whilst indulging the artistic side of partying. The night will include absinthe tasting classes from an expert absintheur, live music and entertainment including accordion players, Cabaret acts, trapeze artists, dancers and bands. Guests will be able to dance to old Music Hall favourites, or ponder on failed relationships with Edith Piaf chansons.
Channelling their inner Degas and making like Baudelaire, guests will be encouraged to create art throughout the evening, whether it’s standing up and reciting poetry, indulging in absinthe-induced ravings, life drawing or philosophising outside over a Gauloise. To ensure artistic bohemia in every sense of the word, the evening’s dress code is Choleric Courtesan or Tortured Artist.
