Today's the big day!!!
Let us make today's event memorable, to raise awareness and to inspire further action in the fights to reduce global carbon emissions and to make our world more equitable.
Please join us for a day of solidarity on October 11th when will choose to leave our cars parked and use alternative transportation such as biking, walking, bussing, and car pooling (check out options at zimride.com).
We invite you to join us at 3:30 pm on Monday, October 11th at Oshkosh City Hall to ask our city leaders to promote alternative transportation in Oshkosh. There will be a pre-rally gathering in front of Kolf Sports Center (785 Algoma Blvd.) at 3:00 pm. We will then bike safely and orderly to City Hall. You are welcome to meet us there, but be sure to ride your bikes, or use other form of alternative transportation. We will then hand over our petitions to City Manager, Mark Rohloff, express our concerns, and hear from a guest speaker.
How to Get Involved Planning the Event: Email Robyn Anderson at
anderr91@uwosh.edu if you wish to help promote this event.
