I know that same of you are saying why should we focus on just these gay people and suicide in general. Yes I think so too, but if that was on tumblr than it was on tumblr and I'd love to find it. If someone wants to make an event for a day to wear red or green or apricot colour (yes it is a colour) than send a link on here and or message me, I would love to attend it because my best friend committed suicide and he was bisexual but it wasn't out of gay hate.

I had found this on www.tumblr.com, I felt that a lot more people needed to know about this. Don't bother saying you'll attend if you are going to be rude to these boys who lost their life. Anyone who commits suicide is sad. But this was found on www.tumblr.com, so don't say "why purple" or anything, ask the person who made this. Please get off of this page if you are going to be homophobic.

it’s been decided. on october 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. purple represents spirit on the lgbtq flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. please wear purple on october 20th. tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.
