Meet Mon Oct 18 over food and wine at Art Gallery of Algoma. Candidates and citizens gather in a café-style setting, having short conversations around tables. We call it civic speed dating. Participants build on each other's ideas for what kind of community we want and what it takes to get there. Ideas can range from the economy, health care, the arts, or the environment. Light refreshments and VQA wine bar provided by Vinaissance Wine & Food Explorations. Read more
Evaluate candidates-on-the-job. Candidates will demonstrate how they can work collaboratively toward a common objective, to bring out the best in the ideas of others while also finding ways to effectively communicate their own. Real stuff, the kind of work they'll need to do if they are elected. Citizens, of course have to (learn) do the same.
Seats are limited. Register now.
Volunteer! Throw money at us! Events worth doing are a lot of hard work, and don't come free. To cover the cost of food and security, we ask that you or your organization would contribute as a Community Supporter (donation of $20) or as a Change Sponsor (donation of $100). Sponsors and supporters will be featured on all publications surrounding these events, and names will be tattooed on the organizers' children as a small gesture towards your generosity.
This is the third in a series of ChangeCamp Sault events, after the ChangeCamp one day open space in June and ChangeSalon in July. ChangeCamp Sault designs and facilitates new ways for communities, teams and organizations to work collaboratively for change. For more information, contact Gerry Kirk at
