The Bicycle Kitchen/La Bicicocina is a nonprofit bicycle repair education space run by volunteers. We offer workshop space, bike stands, tools, recycled parts and basic new parts, along with trained volunteer mechanics to help people build or fix bikes.
Our emphasis is on education. We do not fix or build bikes for you. We work with you, side by side, and teach you how to do it yourself. D.I.Y./D.I.T. (Do-it-yourself/Do-it-together)!
No one is turned away for lack of funds!
Mission: Our mission is to promote the bicycle as a fun, safe, and accessible form of transportation, to foster healthy urban communities, and to provide a welcoming space to learn about building, maintaining, and riding bicycles.
