We have put together a special social run for this Saturday with Ray Zahab, an extreme runner that uses running to encourage people to reach beyond their limits and to become engaged in social and ecological issues. Dallas Running Club Teaming Up with TEDxSMU for a Run with Ray Zahab
Dallas, Texas - The Dallas Running Club (DRC) announced plans to join forces with TEDxSMU, the local co-working and start-up community, CoHabitat, and the non-profit organization, impossible2Possible, for a morning run with ultra-marathon runner, explorer, TED speaker, and founder of impossible2Possible, Ray Zahab, as part of TEDxSMU’s Idea Week.
Ray Zahab will run with over two hundred members of the DRC and other participants at 6:30 a.m. at White Rock Lake. Stations will be set up at the end of the run by the DRC and CoHabitat where participants will have access to refreshments and laptops to learn more about impossible2Possible’s upcoming Expedition Amazon and their experiential learning programs.
Donations made on the Facebook page of impossible2Possible will go towards funding the upcoming i2P Youth Ambassador Expedition/ Experiential Learning Program Amazon this October.
The Facebook fundraising solution was developed by Dynamo Labs, a founding member of CoHabitat. The application was built in conjunction with technology partner, Piryx Inc. of Austin, TX. Contributions to i2P can be made via impossible2Possible’s Facebook page under the “Donate” tab.

TEDxSMU and TEDxKids @SMU are single-day conferences in Dallas, Texas; bringing together ideas and interesting people from around the world and around the corner. Now in its second year, TEDxSMU is jointly produced by Southern Methodist University and the Idea Fund of the Communities Foundation of Texas. Both 2010 events – TEDxKids @SMU on October 15 and TEDxSMU on October 16 – will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
