Today, more than ever, it is essential to your agency mission that official authoritative information is communicated quickly. Equally important is the need for intra/interagency collaboration to optimize the delivery of services to citizens. The tenets of "open government" and transparency promoted by the Obama Administration accentuate the point on the need for improved information sharing. This program uses real-life experiences of practitioners on the front lines of the Gulf Oil Spill crisis response - a response that posed challenges in coordination, collaboration, information sharing governance and effective use of technology.
