Recently released as a movie starring Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz, the musical NINE follows the story of Guido Contini, a self-centred, egotistical and womanising Italian movie director in the midst of a personal and creative crisis. With only one week before shooting begins on his latest epic production, and no script in sight, Guido frantically struggles for inspiration whilst juggling the numerous women in his life; including his devoted wife, his mistress, his muse, and his incessant producer. As his present world collides with voices from his past, and his professional dilemmas begin to tear apart his personal life, Guido must desperately find a balance between his artistic integrity and his obsessive desires.
