We've put in the training, we've run our races, and now it's time to celebrate! Let's toast our fall marathon achievements collectively on Sat. Nov 6th!
Rachel Lande has generously allowed us hooligans to invade her quiet little townhouse - so first off, thank you, Rachel!
This fall, our runners competed in a handful of different marathons: TCM, Chicago, Milwaukee Lakefront, and the Baystate Marathon in Massachusetts. To celebrate your accomplishments, we've decided to honor each race with its own drink. So without further adieu:
* For TCM, we'll be drinking Summit (because what else do you remember from TCM?)
* For Chicago, we're serving the incredibly tasty (and curiously strong) Chicago Cocktail - which, amazingly, tastes especially delicious on a hot day!
* Baystate runners, we've got the Boston Tea Party to commemorate with some Iced Tea cocktails (Tea Party approved?)
* Milwaukee marathoners, we're going BEAST MODE with Milwaukee's Best! It is after all, the best Milwaukee has to offer!!?
*And finally, for everyone who's ever whined about hill workouts, long runs, or that evil 7a.m. Saturday start time, we'll have a couple bottles of "whine."
The party will start at 8:30pm and we'll have snacks for you to munch on while you enjoy the fruits of your collective marathon labors. At some point in the evening, we'll go on a "long run" over to Uptown to keep the party going. Running optional.
We'd like to encourage you to bring $10-15 and we'll take care of the rest.
You don't want to miss this evening. Whether you ran a marathon or not, come celebrate our fall training season.
(PS. This event MUST end by 2:30am in order to comply with the 6 hour time limit)
