Well, it's finally here -- this October 27th (10/27) will be the first annual, international HELLAWEEN celebration! Hellaween will be a day for all to celebrate the awesomeness that is "hella," reflect on the success of the "hella-" prefix, and spread public awareness for our valiant cause.
How might one celebrate Hellaween, you ask? However you want! The 27th will be all about "hella," so go crazy with it!
If you purchased a "hella" T-Shirt from the online store, wear it proudly! If anyone asks what it means (and they certainly will), spread the word! Remember, you are an ambassador for the "hella" prefix.
Use "hella" incessantly until your friends are threatening to inflict physical harm upon you. Convert everything into hella- units and use them throughout the day (e.g. "my house is only 10^-24 hellameters away!"). Ask your teachers/professors to give all the numbers in their lectures in terms of hella- units. Stop random people on the street and ask them if they've heard of the hella petition.
Or, better yet, throw a Hellaween party! Since Hellaween conveniently falls 4 days before Halloween, a Hellaween party would be a great chance for a Halloween dress rehearsal. Or, if you really feel like it, wear your Halloween costume to school/work, and let everyone know it's actually a Hellaween costume. BUT, if you do throw a Hellaween party, make sure you take pictures and post them on the group wall so we can all vicariously attend!
And, if you're really ambitious, do something to increase public awareness of the "hella-" prefix. Make a banner and hang it on a freeway overpass. Deck out your car. "Fork" your school (i.e. stick plastic forks into the grass and write out "10^27" or "hella," etc.). Do something big!
This Hellaween is our chance to celebrate the success that we've had this year -- and it's all due to YOUR support! Pat yourself on the back, and enjoy your Hellaween! Have fun!
Let everyone else know how you're planning on celebrating this year by writing your plans up on the wall!
I just realized I used a lot of exclamation points this is description!
