How does this event work?
1. I hand select 5 coffees that we will be tasting. Example of the coffees:

b. Sumatra Natural Process Conventional
c. Kenyan Peaberry Muthunzuuni Estate
d. El Salvador Santa Rita Natural Process
e. Bali Blue Moon
2. The 5 hand selected coffees are cupped by "French Pressing". This for public cupping will allow you to taste the coffee like as if we were professionally cupping them.
3. Before the event with my... palette I will have selected 5 desserts to accompany the 5 selected coffees. I base these selections on how well I think they will go with the coffee and vice versa. I select the desserts based on the profile of the coffee (flavors that are coming out of the coffee naturally). The result should be like or complimenting flavors or flavors that are enhanced from both the coffee and desserts and work well together.
5. This is not a "formal" coffee cupping it's designed to help you the "public" to better understand the natural occurring flavors coming out in the coffee and help you distinguish them from each other. This event is similar to a wine tasting event. Coffee is like wine and after this event you should have a better understanding of what makes a better cup of coffee and how coffee and desserts/food works together.
6. Throughout the event you are encouraged to "Tweet" your findings about the coffees and or desserts (this is encouraged but not mandatory). We will be discussing the basics of coffee and the many hands that coffee travels through before it reaches our cup. We will also discuss the basic elements of coffee roasting, processing and brewing.
7. This event should be a lot of fun and a great experience. The ticket cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple. Limited seating so RSVP.
