This month we will also have our first Refresh Workshop in Miami. Ryan Abbott of Loudpixel will be taking us through a step by step hands on tutorial that will leave you with a fully functional web application on your hands.
We will start with Ruby on Rails basics, everything from what is Ruby to how to get your development environment started. We will then go on to setting up your database, your application structure and going through the steps you need in order to get a basic database driven application working. We will be building a basic blogging system with user authentication, user creation, comments, and content management.
