For those of you who have been following Social Media Club San Francisco/SiIlicon Valley, you know we tend to do more events in SF and the Peninsula, so this is especially exciting news for us as we get a chance to hang out with our members and friends from down in the heart of the valley. It's also very exciting to be working once again with our sponsor Sony Electronics, after having a great tweetup earlier this summer sponsored by their Sony Dash product.

Part of Social Media Club's mission is to help our community stay on top of the latest trends and social technologies, and we are more than a little excited about the worlds of television and the internet coming together. Having played with the Sony Internet TV product in the Sony Style lounge at BlogWorld Expo last month, this TV product represents a big breakthrough and brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Couch-Surfing".

We will be streaming live from inside the Sony Style store from 6:30-7:00pm as we interview not only the Tweetup participants, but also some of the leading thinkers in technology. The focus of our conversation will go beyond the capabilities of the present technology into the future that it represents. More details on this livestream will be posted shortly.

As technologies converge and connected devices take over the living room, the entire experience will be transformed. As we have long maintained, some of the first Social Media of the modern era occurred in living rooms across the country as "Uncle Miltie" join families and their entire neighborhoods from inside their television sets. With the Sony Internet TV Blu-Ray Player, an entirely new form of social media has been born.
