I have a new adventure this winter. I'm going to India with a Worship&Arts team from North Park. Some of you are probably not even sure where I live these days. So let me recap the last two years:
I left Topeka, Kansas and moved to Chicago in Fall 2008 to attend school at North Park University. Ever since then I have been discovering who I am and taking new challenges that God puts in front of me. I'm studying Elementary Education, concentrating in Art and getting an ESL endorsement. Besides school I have taught violin at an after school orchestra in a Chicago Public School and teach privately; volunteer with a nonprofit called LittleThings that raises money to send girls to school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; work in the school's library; babysit; see the sites of Chicago while running and biking; and believe it or not I have made a few friends and have a little bit of fun. :)
India has been heavy on my heart since I came out here two years ago and I knew the day would come when God would take me there. This is it! On this trip we will be playing a couple concerts with a popular Indian Christian Band (Yeshua Band) in Pune. As you may have guessed, I will be playing my violin. On top of my violin I will be painting and possibly bringing a camera along. :) We will spend time in Mumbai and in other parts of the country exploring the wonderful things being done by churches in India.
On top of planning, practicing, and packing there are two other things I need to make this trip a reality: prayers and financial support. I will not be able to go on this trip if I cannot meet these needs.
Please be praying for me and my team as we plan and prepare, and for the lives we will touch while we are in India. This trip costs $2,500. Lets be real, I cannot do this on my own. I humbly ask that you consider supporting me financially. Donations can be made online at

Thanks in advance everyone for the prayers, thoughts and gracious support.
Peace and love,
Hannah Joy.
P.S. By joining this event you are just acknowledging that you support me. No real "event".
