Mike, a Drupal developer for the Georgia Straight, will give a introduction of Node.js and a quick how to get started. Node.js, a method for running JavaScript on your server. Why would you want to? Mike will explain! After Mike's presentation you're invited to share your own knowledge by giving a "lightning talk". Lightning talks are short, informational talks of 2 to 4 minutes on some cool Drupal feature or a new site you've launched.
