It's for the kids! Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area (bbbsba.org) represents one of nation's most established youth mentoring organizations, with proven success in making a positive difference for at-risk youth.
A recent study conducted by a national research firm found that children in the BBBS program, when compared with their peers not involved in the program were:
* 46% less likely to start using drugs
* 27% less likely to start drinking
* 4 times less likely to be arrested
* 3 times less likely to drop out of school
But, every match requires background checks and over a thousand dollars in resources. Any tax-deductible contribution to help our team reach our target of $2500 is greatly appreciated.
