Innovation and Entrepreneurship are widely hailed as the most potential cures for our ailing global economy and were often referenced during the recent APEC Summit meetings as major drivers of the economic growth strategy.
The first ever annual EMI Roundtable and TEAJ Award Ceremony recognizes individuals with the courage to face the risks involved with becoming entrepreneurs and explores what they need to be successful, and how society needs to change to enable them. There will be a keynote address by Deborah Holmes, Global Director of CSR for Ernst and Young, remarks from Japanese government leader and a senior US Embassy official, as well as a series of panel discussions with established entrepreneurs and Mentors and Mentees from the 2010 Entrepreneurship Mentoring Initiative. The panels will discuss how entrepreneurs can find funding, and access the market and what entrepreneurs need to succeed.
The first annual "The Entrepreneurship Awards Japan" will feature winners from three categories including: women, Japanese nationals and an open category. Make sure to be a part of this historic first event that we hope will begin a new tradition in Japan. It will be followed by a networking reception and a chance to meet the leaders of the entrepreneurship community in Japan.
